Death, an old man wearing a white collared shirt, khaki shorts, and leather birkenstocks, appeared to a boy on a bridge.

"And I suppose," Death said, "you are happy to see me?"

"Please, old man, do not try to get involved."

"You do not know who I am."

"That is correct."

"Do not mess with me. Dying is definite. The future is what you make of it. I have called a cab to pick you up. I must go. Business calls."

"Do you like your business?"

"That question is irrelevant. But business should not like me."
