Soles crushed and risen, rapidly. The bombardment of blue on blue, the sea waves beneath wavy hair. Blown away.
The jogger, easy to follow from the yellow cab, a particle noticeably faster than the others. He disappears only to show up again, farther down the street approaching the deep ocean.
The observer oscillates forward slightly. Her eyes are still on the man. He has a life of his own, surely. Just like her. Just like the taxi man. Just like everyone else there.
Her time watching was up. He was getting out of view. Plus the light was green.
She continued to stare out the glass, but now they were a blur, whizzing past, a light trail of lives, a Jackson Pollock of pasts, a smattering of souls.
She reflected on how many places were in the world, but it made her happy knowing this was one of them.
