I was on a street corner somewhere, and it was cold.
A soft shape smothered my silky suit, startling me. I looked down at a small dog.
It was dark choloate brown with a bright red collar.
I bent down to pet it as my eyes raised to its homeless owner, sitting there pleading for it to come back.
But I kept petting it. I wondered about the man and how I should've said hi to him but it occured to me that he had all he needed.
An adorable animal to love him no matter what. Is it the same? Is social pressue solely responsible for the man's sadness?
I hope not.
